Dearcroft Celebrated Their Golden Anniversary
With a Casual Outdoor Evening

On Friday, June 15th, Dearcroft Montessori School ended the school year by celebrating 50 years as a school. Dearcroft’s alumni, friends, and families connected and gathered for a relaxed, outdoor evening celebrating Dearcroft’s Golden Anniversary with live music, great food and drinks! Mike Branton, one of Canada’s finest blues guitarists, provided their musical entertainment for the evening with some great blues and classic tunes.
The evening was catered by a long-time business in the heart of Downtown Oakville, Seasons Restaurant who gives back to the Oakville Community by catering for many charity events. Serving up some special martinis and cocktails to commemorate this special occasion was Zirkova Vodka. Zirkova Vodka is partnered with Oceanic Global- the international creative non-profit committed to protecting the environment and world’s ocean against irrevocable damage. Dearcroft was delighted to partner with these philanthropic businesses who have a commitment to giving back, locally and globally. At Dearcroft they are very excited to be developing a new collaboration with Dalhousie University’s Ocean School, a program educating Grade 6-8 students about coastal management, ocean pollution, climate’s effect on the oceans and conservation of marine species.

About Dearcroft Montessori School:

Dearcroft provides programs for Toddlers (starting at 18 months-3-year olds), Prima Casa (2.5-3.5-year olds) and Casa (3 -5-year olds), Junior Elementary (6-8-year olds), Senior Elementary (9 -12-year olds) and Junior High (13-14-year olds). We offer an intimate learning experience within our supportive and close-knit community. The comprehensive and methodical training of staff, excellent ratios and long-term relationships allow us to focus on all aspects of each child’s development.

“The owners, teachers and staff at Dearcroft are wonderful, caring people. The Montessori
method, which allows children the freedom to focus where they’re most interested at times,
and return to what challenges them most, in a compassionate way, is incredible. It’s amazing how children can flourish when properly supported.

According to my daughter: “We learn so much, in fun ways. We get lots of opportunities to do projects. My teachers are so nice. Learning from all the variety of materials is so helpful.” Matt Gilgan parent at Dearcroft
